Each CanSkate sessions starts with the whole group doing forwards and backwards stroking. Then the group has a warm up of stretches before breaking into their groups. Each group is usually composed of skaters working on a particular level badge. Over the course of a session the coach will assess each students progress and award badges as the skills are mastered.
